    From your client page in Swydo, open the Data Sources tab and click New Data Source, then choose Google Search Console. For most platforms you’ll authorize via OAuth; a few (Klaviyo, CallRail, Call Tracking Metrics, ActiveCampaign) use an API key instead. Once authorized, pick the specific account, property, or page you want to report on. Each one becomes a data source you can drop into any report.

  • Can I combine Google Search Console data with other platforms in one report?

    Yes. Every Swydo report supports widgets and KPIs from multiple data sources side by side, so a single report can pull from Google Search Console, Google Ads, GA4, Meta, and more. For paid-media platforms you can also blend up to five sources inside a single widget — useful for cross-channel ROAS, total spend, or unified conversion tables. Custom blended widgets aren’t available for non-ad platforms, but reports themselves can mix anything.

  • Is my Google Search Console data secure in Swydo?

    Yes. Swydo connects via OAuth or scoped API keys, encrypts data in transit over HTTPS, and stores access tokens with role-based controls. Swydo is GDPR-compliant and acts as a data sub-processor under a standard DPA. You can revoke any connection at any time, and on account closure all data and credentials are deleted within 90 days.     Swydo offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. Pricing is based on the number of data sources, not on users (seats are unlimited) or report volume. The flat plan includes 10 data sources, with a per-source rate beyond that which decreases as you scale. Frequency of reporting doesn’t affect cost.   • What Google Search Console metrics and dimensions does Swydo support?

    Swydo supports the full set of metrics and dimensions exposed by the GSC API: impressions, clicks, average CTR, average position, with breakdowns by query, page, country, device, and search appearance. The Search Term Performance widget specifically lets you build a top-queries view filterable by page, country, or device — a standard SEO agency deliverable that takes one click in Swydo.

  • How far back does Google Search Console data go in Swydo reports?

    GSC’s API exposes the same 16-month rolling window that’s visible in the GSC UI — older data drops off at the source. For longer historical SEO reporting, the standard agency workaround is to export GSC data monthly into a Google Sheet (via the GSC API or a connector tool) and feed that Sheet into Swydo for permanent historical retention. Swydo doesn’t store GSC data on your behalf; it pulls live each refresh.

  • Can I filter Google Search Console widgets by specific pages or query patterns?

    Yes. Every GSC widget supports filters by query (substring or exact match), page (URL substring or exact match), country, and device. Useful for building section-specific widgets — e.g., a “/blog/ traffic” widget showing only blog-page impressions and clicks, or a “branded vs non-branded” widget filtered by query containing the brand name. Build the filters once in a template and reuse across every SEO client.

  • Why are my Google Search Console clicks lower than the sessions I see in GA4?

    GSC counts clicks from Google Search results pages; GA4 counts sessions from any source, deduplicated by user. A single GSC click can result in multiple GA4 sessions (user comes back later directly), and GA4 includes traffic from Bing, Yahoo, and direct that GSC doesn’t see. In Swydo, show GSC clicks alongside GA4 organic-search sessions and organic-search users — three different views of the same SEO performance, each answering a slightly different question.

  • Can I track keyword rankings over time using Google Search Console?

    Sort of. GSC’s “average position” metric shows where your pages rank for queries, but it’s an average across all impressions, not a true rank-tracking signal.
