Easily Connect & Integrate Data in a Single Report
From your client page in Swydo, open the Data Sources tab and click New Data Source, then choose Instagram Insights. For most platforms you’ll authorize via OAuth; a few (Klaviyo, CallRail, Call Tracking Metrics, ActiveCampaign) use an API key instead. Once authorized, pick the specific account, property, or page you want to report on. Each one becomes a data source you can drop into any report.
Yes. Every Swydo report supports widgets and KPIs from multiple data sources side by side, so a single report can pull from Instagram Insights, Google Ads, GA4, Meta, and more. For paid-media platforms you can also blend up to five sources inside a single widget — useful for cross-channel ROAS, total spend, or unified conversion tables. Custom blended widgets aren’t available for non-ad platforms, but reports themselves can mix anything.
Yes. Swydo connects via OAuth or scoped API keys, encrypts data in transit over HTTPS, and stores access tokens with role-based controls. Swydo is GDPR-compliant and acts as a data sub-processor under a standard DPA. You can revoke any connection at any time, and on account closure all data and credentials are deleted within 90 days. Swydo offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. Pricing is based on the number of data sources, not on users (seats are unlimited) or report volume. The flat plan includes 10 data sources, with a per-source rate beyond that which decreases as you scale. Frequency of reporting doesn’t affect cost. Use the calculator at swydo.com/pricing for an exact quote.
Instagram data typically takes 24–48 hours to appear in Swydo via Meta’s API. For same-day reporting, expect the most recent day to be incomplete. This delay is on Meta’s side, not Swydo’s — every reporting tool drawing from the Instagram Graph API sees the same lag. Schedule weekly or monthly reports to land 2+ days after period close to ensure complete data.
Meta’s API restricts the New Followers metric to the last 30 days only. If you set a comparison date range beyond 30 days, the widget returns the error “The followers metric only requestable for the last 30 days.” Workaround: use a 30-day or shorter range without comparison, or use Lifetime Followers (which has no time limit) and calculate growth manually with a custom metric or Manual KPI for longer windows.
Engagement rate isn’t a native Instagram API metric, but it’s easy to build as a custom metric in Swydo: (likes + comments + saves + shares) ÷ reach (or impressions, depending on your definition). Define it once on your Instagram Insights data source and reuse it across every client report. Pro tip: build two versions — engagement rate by reach (industry standard) and engagement rate by followers (more flattering for small accounts) — and show both.
Yes for aggregate demographics (gender split, top age ranges, top countries, top cities) — these are exposed through the Insights API. Granular dimensions (demographics by post, by Story, by content type) aren’t exposed by Meta’s API and so aren’t available in any reporting tool, including Swydo. Build a one-off Demographics section in your Instagram template showing the available aggregate dimensions, refreshable on every monthly report.
Build a content-performance section with three widgets: top-performing posts (sorted by engagement or reach), engagement trend over time (line chart of daily engagement), and content-type breakdown (Reels vs Carousel vs Image, in a column chart). Reusable across every client. For deeper individual-post analysis (saves per Carousel slide, swipe-through rate), Meta’s Creator Studio or a dedicated content tool goes further.
Yes. Add both Facebook Insights and Instagram Insights as data sources to your client and build a unified Meta organic section: aggregate followers (FB Page Likes + IG Followers), reach across both platforms, engagement breakdown by platform, content cadence (posts per week per platform). Swydo doesn’t merge them at the metric level (Meta’s API treats them separately), but a single report layout gives clients one consolidated view.
